Aerial Carnivale

The morning skies of Parramatta will be filled with colour and movement as a fleet of hot air balloons ascend above the iconic Parramatta Park.

IMPORTANT: Due to poor weather conditions, Parramatta City Council has regretfully announced the cancellation of its morning program (Aerial Carnivale) for Australia day at Parramatta Park.

The $5 purchase price of the tethered hot air balloon rides was a donation to The Parramatta Mission. Anyone who purchased hot air balloon tickets is eligible for a refund including booking fee or can choose to have their funds donated to Parramatta Mission. The refund can be claimed by calling Riverside Theatres Box Office on 8839 3399.

Tethered Balloon Rides

Early morning visitors lucky to secure tickets will have the rare opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of Parramatta at dawn by floating above the treetops in a tethered hot air balloon ride.

Soar above the skies in style in one of our magnificent hot air balloons! Experience the fun of Australia Day from a whole new perspective! Enjoy a carefree ride around Long Paddock, with rides lifting off from 6am, 7am or 8am.

Ozstar Airlines, Mistresses of Ceremonies

Please fasten your seatbelts and prepare for take-off with this high-flying comedic duo. Your hostesses Stacey and Tracey will provide you with an exciting array of live in-flight entertainment.

With plenty of unexpected turbulence, these high flying ladies do meet high altitudes just before

landing when Tracey performs a five hula hoop split while standing on Stacey's shoulders.

Aerialize presents Birds Aflight!

Performed on an outdoor rig, Birds Aflight! includes triple trapeze, aerial silk, aerial ring, Spanish weband swinging trapeze.

Zimboyz

These three amazing African acrobats will astound you with gravity defying performances. Chinese pole, human pyramids and chair balancing are just a few of the acts that will leave you speechless throughout their show

Shirlee Sunflower

Shirlee Sunflower is a loveable nerd with a feisty attitude. She has a wonderful sense of physicality and uses it to create both impressive and ridiculous physical feats and situations. Shirlee loves to play with the audience and get to know them in a way that is outside the normal performer/audience relationship.

The Great Dave

Watch and be amazed The Great Dave kicks cups, saucers and a spoon onto his head, whilst riding a unicycle. His special blend of bumbling English comedy will have you laughing for more.

Circus Works - Circus Playground

Roll up, roll up, step right up and join the circus. Enjoy plenty of juggling toys, stilts, unicycles, spinning and balancing activities for kids.

The Flycycle

Flycycle is a roving comedy piece done in a slap-stick, silent movie style. The Lephts (not to be confused with the Wrights) ride their magnificent flying machine in search of the perfect hill to test it in flight.

Lolka

Lolka is a 2.5 metre high wind up doll with a very human heart. She dreams of falling in love and escaping the clutches of Madame Zhou, her overbearing and eccentric inventor who is trying to sell her off to the richest bidders. A beautiful and comedic spectacle with a touch of pathos.

Cloud Men

The Meet the serene and sublime Cloudmen walking works of art. Inspired by the popular Belgian surrealist artist, Rene Magritte, they incorporate the artist’s signature elements - the businessperson, umbrella, apple and the magnificent blue sky and perfect clouds.

Model Aeroplane Display

Don’t just watch the aerial magic taking place; join in the fun! The whole family will love the flying demonstrations of the state of the art electric radio controlled model aircraft. You can take a close-up look at some of the most finely crafted models going around.
