One of the great things about Australia Day is that its summer and you can enjoy the beautiful warm weather, but it can be a little much during the middle of the day. The answer – Parramatta’s Australia Day Picnic Zones where the family fun continues throughout the day from 12pm to 5pm.
Our Picnic Zones offer a casual, relaxed environment for you to take some time out after the early morning festivities or come along for a pleasant relaxing time in the beautiful Parramatta Park. Our Picnic Zones also offer a great opportunity for you to reenergise for our massive Dig 1100 Concert in the Park at 5:30pm.
Each zone will be filled with fun activities for all the family including live acoustic music performances, children’s inflatable rides, roving face painters, a balloon modeller and magician so there will never be a dull moment!
Add to that limited ice cream and food venders offering their treats to each of the sites so you don’t have to go too far for a bite and drinks.
There will be 4 Picnic Zones positioned at convenient locations throughout the Park:
- Parramatta Park Café Event centre
- Pavilion Flat (Westmead side)
- Salter’s Field Playground Area (Westmead side)
- Old Government House and Domain
On the day
There will be four Picnic Zones at convenient locations throughout Parramatta Park with a trackless train running throughout the day to shuttle event goers from zone to zone!
