Wet Weather

Wet Weather
In the event of wet weather, please call Parramatta Information Centre on 02 8839 3311 between 10am and 4pm for updates. Outside of these hours, please call the wet weather information line on
02 9294 8586.
Please note the evening concert will go ahead in the rain.

Planning Tips

We want to make your Australia Day as easy as possible!

  • Supervise Children
    Please remember that children must be supervised at all times.

  • Meeting Points
    Arrange a meeting spot when you arrive in case you lose your friends or family.
  • Drink responsibility
    Ensure you have a safe and memorable Australia Day.

  • Allow extra time for travel
    Be patient of public transport delays on the night.
  • Sunscreen
    Use sunscreen and wear a hat throughout the day.


  • Drink plenty of water
    Make sure you eat and drink plenty of food and water throughout the day.
  • Food
    Bring a picnic lunch or try one of our many great food stalls, which will be open from 6am-9pm.
  • Lost Children
    All lost children should be reported immediately to security and can be picked up from the information stall.
  • Write your number
    It’s a great idea to write your mobile number on your child’s arm or give them a card with your number in case of emergencies.
  • This is a NO glass event
    No glass in the park 

Getting There


Park and Ride

The LoopThe free Loop city bus service will run from 6am - 10pm on the day

 

 

Drop Zone

Parramatta Stadium Carpark, O’Connell St, Parramatta. No parking permitted at Parramatta Stadium on event day. Where you get dropped off is where you should be picked up from.

Cars

Please be aware that Parramatta Park is a ‘Car Free Day’ and will not be open to the public for entry or parking on Australia Day Tuesday 26 January 2010. Only permit holders will be allowed entry.

Trains Buses and Ferries
